Are you reading this?

Death Race is actually a double A side single with another song from their album 'Adrift in dark waters' well I say double A side but that's a pretty antiquated phrase these days isn't it? How many people out there actually remember when double A side actually meant something?

Exit by name are a screamo band, and then they're not, what I mean is the vocal arrangement on Death Race is 2 parts screaming to 1 part erm..... stoner. This is backed up by a cycling monotonous riff that you'll either bob your head in a vague out of your head kind of way to or you'll be bored stiff by, personally I was in the second camp. The song just doesn't go anywhere and none of it stands out in any particular way, it just happens and then it's gone.

The second track on offer is 'The scene is dead long live the scene' and this is a better track than the opener, it has more go in it and less screaming, I don't have anything against screaming but this bands slightly trippy drum beats and riff style suit the cleaner end of the singers voice. It still isn't going to set the world alight but it's a step in the right direction I think and gives something to be built upon for the future.
