A funky, rock and dance stew.

Such is the complexity and slightly off-kilter feel to VWF's single 'I Wont Do You Any Harm', the initial comparison is not with another band but instead with The Mighty Boosh. The lyrics and their delivery have that snappy return that reminds you of "Captains Cabinets, trapped in cabinets, will he get out, will he get out?" or perhaps of Rudi and Spider searching for a new sound. Either way, VWF are very much of the now in the way they seem to shove a bunch of ideas into the one big pot and have came out with a cracking stew for their efforts.

Theres a funky feel to the track and special mention must be made to the dancing guitar riff that cuts through every so often at the end of the verse lines to up the tempo. The band many have played in some good company over the past year but on this showing, their own live show would be having its own comparable moments because this track flies along.

There may not be the level of bravado and swaggering lad-like edge that Kasabian bring to the merging of rock and dance but VWF pull it off with a bit more subtlety and should be commended for having done so.

As much as we shouldn't be condoning any track that professes to doing anyone any harm, why cant tracks boast about making a positive impact as opposed to just not making it worse, you cant help but come away from this song smiling. An impressive feat without doubt.
