Mix the youthful, bright exuberance of The Go! Team with sturdy punk guitar rhythms and you'll find yourself within half a pace of Make Model's charismatic and catchy new single. 'LSB' threatens, "We've got our weapons and our bubbleguns", it's a mission statement of sorts with a laddish energy, handclaps and a punchy chorus chant.
The remix of 'Czech Neck' on the other hand is a slowbuilding, tense electro number that is the Ibiza club rocker to 'LSB's pub anthem, it's a strange pairing with the second tune's bubbling synth creations very much disconnected from the rock-centric opener and it's hard to imagine what the tune sounded like before Union of Knives got their greasy hands on it. If we let 'LSB' do the talking, then Make Model are the kind of upbeat and cool rock group that we need to oust this year's crop of indie wannabes from the charts.
