Soothing Electro

Parisian electro merchants The Teenagers make that obsessive teenage crush cool again with a slick and sexy 3 minute pop song full of wit. "You were born in 1984," begins the first verse with almost stalker-level knowledge of their favourite film star, but it's enough to raise an instant smile from most listeners, although I'd be curious to hear what the actress herself has to say. The chilled out, synth musings are of the same strain of shoegazing sonic landscape that formed the backing to Johansson's critically acclaimed movie, 'Lost In Translation'.

B-side, 'Full Flavour' shows The Teenagers having even more to say on their favourite topic: women. This time the stoic and icey vocals reel off women's names with a certain assurance while soft vocal harmonies whisper away in the background. The Teenagers confident Gallic charm is sure to see their sharp electro rock blasting out over the stereos at "arty" discos near you soon.
