The Daniels - Lights
Since 2005 The Daniels have been enjoying making music and here is the bands second release ‘Lights’.
The track begins with a pinging of guitar strings that pulls a listener into its rhythmic pattern and continues with this increasing beat little by little becoming catchier and electric. The sound may have the odd influence from the seventies rock/blues era, but to be honest it sounds rather machine made and apathetic to the music on the Internet today. The gradual drum and guitar build up to the instrumental is superior to the rest of the track though and an excellent way to end. The vocals, much like the track, are nothing we haven’t heard a million times before.
The second track ‘Take Me For A Ride’ is slower and less electric. The Daniels seems to be on the right track in making music, there is just some originality missing. If you get this down, you’ve it!
