Shell suit suprise
Go Faster are another band from the seemingly endless production line that is Liverpool and they‘ve been getting some impressive plaudits alongside extensive radio play.
‘Flammable Leisurewear’ is their second single and is quite a punchy little number, distinctly indie but with a healthy driving rhythm it’s a million miles from the shoe gazing end of the genre. With it’s light & breezy feel it’s a pleasant enough offering, not exactly groundbreaking or devastatingly jaw dropping but catchy enough and certainly radio friendly.
The supporting tracks (‘Girl With The Reputation’ & ‘You Better Watch Out’) continue in similar vein, keeping up the tempo and instilling a certain charm with their delivery. The problem with Go Faster is that they’re just not very original, if indie is your thing then you’ll have heard it all before & that’s not to say they aren’t a good band but I’m not sure these are the ‘party starting anthems’ that others have claimed they are.
