Madding Crowd
What better way to welcome the New Year than free music, especially when it is from an interesting artists such as Madding Crowd.
The lyrics are rather peculiar, but at the same time just one aspect of what makes the track stand out as being unique.
With the upbeat and persistent rhythm, the other rather unusual element that made this track stand out in my mind was the fact that in contrast to the indie style that surrounded their previous releases, the central instrument for this one is a saxophone. This made listening to ‘Celebration’ more interesting and quite enjoyable. I had to admit though, that it did get a little better and more satisfying for my mind when the electric guitars kicked up and joined the already pumping beat.
The vocals are a little flat and unexciting, but the music background surrounding them is a good enough reason to celebrate.
