The debut single from long time singer songwriter Sarah Warne is one that is very restrained. To class this music into any genre would be hard as there is so many elements included from indie, pop to a slightly classical edge that the tune seems to retain.
‘Secret’ begins with a lovely piano ballad style. When Sarah beings to sing along with the gentle keys she has a magical way of making the world stop spinning. Her vocals are fairly straightforward and her pronunciation extremely precise, making each lyrical word easily understandable. As the track continues, other instruments are added like drums and what sounds like strings to develop ‘Secret’ into one heck of a ballad.
As this track comes to an end, I was left feeling quite dazed and memorable. This is a song I found to be comforting and one that will make you take time to think.
