Pendulum's latest outing

Whats going on?! A southern, swinging trumpet intro? And what's this? Indie vocals and guitars? For the first minute, you'll be thinking "What the hell? Have Pendulum lost it?". I suspect this is what they want you to think. Fear not, the Drum and Bass hits hard after one minute twenty.

The track is quite bouncy and not quite as extreme as their previous outings. There's some keyboard action and solid drum beats in the background, with indie style vocals laid over the top. Ok, so its certainly drum and bass but parts of it just seem a little dry. I'm not sure whether the Kaiser Chiefs or Razorlight had something to do with this track. You'll know what I mean when you hear it. Sure its only one or two areas in the track, but I'm not buying this track. It certainly does have that Pendulum signature to it, and kudos for them to try and bring a little bit of contempory indie to the proceedings but I'm sure this isn't what they want to hear.

It's certainly not as fat as Tarantula or The Terminal and lacks the punch of Slam. It'll certainly pass as album filler but on its own, I'm not so sure.
