Laid back in the extreme.

This summery pop song has a touch of Motown about it and pretentions to a gospel vibe. The sound of birds tweeting at the start makes way for Lidell’s smooth soul style vocals. The track is mid tempo and upbeat but very repetitive, seeming to consist of the same two lines sung over and over again. Undoubtedly appealing for radio play because of a bouncy beat and easy to sing along to chorus but overall it’s a very slight concept for a pop song. The tune is lacking in any drive or substance and the repetition of the same two sections makes it very dull and monotonous. In fact it’s so incredibly middle of the road it might make you doze off halfway through but don’t worry, you won’t miss anything if you do.
