So very Scouse.
They may claim to be a Wigan / Liverpudlian foursome but there are very few bands that are more Scouse than The Troubadours. Which is some going because Scouse bands don't try to hide their overt Liverpoolness as Cast, The Coral and The Zutons would indicate.
Its chirpy, its poppy and its all been done a million times before and by bands that are probably less than a stones throw distance from them. Some areas have a habit of churning out bands who sound very similar and there is no doubt that The Troubadours will point to being influenced by a great number of local bands. Which is fair enough but it’s hard to gather any enthusiasm for such a throwaway track like this.
If you really need another Liverpudlian influenced song then fill your boots with ‘I’m Not Superstitious’ but to be honest, your attention would be far better given to a band who are far more deserving of it.
