The Rifles - I Could Never Lie

The Rifles have been having a great 2008 already, following up their debut album, No Love Lost they have played a series of gigs including having Paul Weller join them on stage at their gig at London Forum in March.

I Could Never Lie is the London quartets first release post No Love Lost and it does not fail to impress. The four Mod Rockers have matured and grown in confidence, producing yet another stellar song which ticks all the right boxes. Starting gently it soon kicks into a crescendo of guitars and drums while lead singer Joel Stokers vocals finish it off perfectly. It is easy to imagine I Could Never Lie becoming another The Rifles song that will get song in full by their faithful fans.

With an appearance at this years V Festival and an extensive 36 date UK tour in the Autumn / Winter, including a headline show at London’s Brixton Academy, it looks as though 2008 is going to be a fantastic end for the lads.
