Quirky pop.

Like the Ting Tings if they were actually good and with a tinge of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Levelload are a nicely fuzzy guitar based girl/boy, pop/alt-rock/indie two piece with tons of energy and attitude. An electro edge from the drum machine combined with the bass and guitar means that this Tokyo/London combo have a raw and totally contemporary edge without too much of that pesky retro nonsense that seems to pervade everything. They just keep it simple, concentrating on the tunes and getting them out to you in the fastest possible time they can. Both tunes on the single are melodic, uncomplicated, vital and danceable - pretty much all the criteria you need for an indie-disco dance-floor filler. Probably destined for plenty of MTV2 play.
