Does it Offend You Yeah - Dawn Of The Dead
After featuring on stage at the Leeds and Reading Festivals this year, Does It Offend You Yeah? are releasing an electro rock track titled ‘Dawn of the Dead’ and relating to the film in no way whatsoever.
In their own crash bang wallop ways this one hits out with the atmospheric value of a horror flick and the aspirations of a teenage running from a dark soul. When thinking about this song however, try not to let the title have any impact on your expectations. With its electronic humming in the background, vocals husking in the foreground and a few strange taps of a bass drum every now and again, there is no scary element but basic indie rock; this track is more equivalent to a high school dance party.
After listening to ‘Dawn Of The Dead’ four of five times, I found it to be quite an interesting sounding song in musical aspects. It becomes one that grows on you each time you hear it.
