Kid Riot

Of course, with a name like The Anomolies you should expect the unexpected. A few swears, some strange refrains maybe, but this is absurd.

Imagine you are in a pub, watching an unspectacular, lackadaisical scratchy catchy indie band with more than a passing flick of the cap to The Libertines, albeit with an impromptu novelty bicycle bell jingle. Things start to become a little tedious before a rapper invades the stage, nabs the microphone and launches into a political rant regarding 9/11. Wahey, didn’t see that coming did you. Then indie sees sense, calmly retrieves the microphone and ably continues, but what’s this? He’s ranting about the current state of things too; all trigger happy youths and CCTV. Loud and proud garage makes a glaring return, only this time the two Mcs, Mouthmaster Murf and Goldseal, have joined forces to see the track out.

Too bad it’s only a single, it’d make a thrilling gig
