Bio Stuart Anderson was born in Devon and educated at The University of Kent at Canterbury, graduating with an MA in Film Studies.

In addition to his work for R13, Stuart contributes an erratic column and even more erratic reviews to www.musosguide.com. He is also currently working on a television series screenplay, a novel and various other articles. He used to write music blah for Times Online.

Stuart's All-Time Top "whatever" Recording Artists are (in no particular order): Rory Gallagher, Madonna, Iron Maiden, Albert King, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash, Journey, Johnny Cash, Slayer, AC/DC, Tori Amos, Steely Dan, Grace Jones, Elvis Presley, The Cure, Megadeth, Hugo Largo and Kate Bush - although he reserves the right to revise this list...daily...and usually does.

Stuart likes classical music too, and thinks that although Phillip Glass, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Emmanuel Nunes, Michael Nyman, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer and Jan Hammer are good, they just can't hold a candle to James Horner's euphoric soundtrack to Arnold Schwarzenegger's genre-defying movie 'Commando'.

Stuart does not like U2, Steven Spielberg, Harry Potter, anything Ricky Gervais has done since 'The Office', skinny jeans, comb-over haircuts, razorblades, The Beatles, people on silly diets, gym-goers, light beer, fruit, nuts, Fruit & Nut cereal, Fruit & Nut cereal bars, Boris Johnson, cancer, cars, Bob Dylan, retail, mobile phones, sunglasses and Art Garfunkel's hair.

Stuart does like cheese. And 'Mary's Prayer' by Danny Wilson.

Stuart likes to think he is England's answer to Chuck Klosterman, but he ain't half as smart and doesn't know as much about KISS. When he's got his beard and glasses on, he does look a bit like him though.

Stuart currently lives in South London, a place where the beer is warm, where the girls are cold, and where the fondue is tepid.
