"I don't like anyone preaching to me, that's why I never went to church."

Wednesday formed this band after the Murderdolls took a break when Joey Jordisaon returned to record and tour with Slipknot, but more about that later...

First we have to start way back with the Frankensteins Drag Queens from Planet 13. Joseph Poole was just a blonde kid from the strongly religious area of North Carolina. He adopted the stage name Wedneday around 1995 after the girl from the Adams Family (the 13 comes from the Munsters house 1313 Mocking Bird Lane). Wednesday had been playing in bands since he was 15 but this was his project into which he put everything, he slaved away writing songs, booking shows and working crappy jobs so he could put all his money and energy into the band. The result was four independent albums released between 1996 and 2000, that are far more popular now than they ever were when they were first released.

In 2001 Tripp Eisner called him up asking him to join Murderdolls as they needed a bassist. Wednesday's personality soon showed he was much better fronting the band that also featured Joey Jordison. Joey and him collaborated on the writing of their debut album 'Beyond The Valley of The Muderdolls'. The Murderdolls went on to do world tours including an opening support for Iron Maiden in Europe. The album bu then had hit silver status in the UK and sold over 100,000 copies in the States. Kerrang! Readers Choice Awards voted them 'Best New Band and Album' of 2002.

June 2004 and Wednesday had over 100 songs written but didn't what to do with them so started his own solo album that turned into Wednesday 13, working on everything but the drums. Wednesday's influence is mostly horror films, cartoons, punk and heavy metal. 'Transylvania 90210: Songs Of Death, Dying and Dead' was the result and falls into the same ilk as Rob Zombie and The Alkaline Trio.

Wednesdays appearance is striking a very pale complexion and lack of eyebrows coupled with raven dreadlocks makes him stand out from the crowd. He is also a big fan of KFC. Now with the back up of his band mates Wednesday is all set to go...

Wednesday - vocals and guitar
Ghastly - drums
Kid Kid - bass
Matt 'Pig' Montgomery - guitar
