Thine: that which belongs to thee.
Formed in West Yorkshie in 1996 by the lead singer Alan Gaunt and drummer Dan Mullins. Joined by Paul Groundnell on guitars and Mike on bass Thine released a debut cassette entitle Journeys. They were then picked up by Peaceville records in 1997 and released 'Town Like This' in 1998. Their last release 'In Therapy' in 2002 has yet to be followed up. Their slow move from black metal to a more melodic 'observational, dark and tragic' style of music has been received well throughout the music press and have been likened to Paradise Lost and Anathema. read less
