Biography

They said it had to start somewhere, someplace. The history of Lack is
quite simple: Four youngsters met somewhere in Denmark, driven by mutual
desire to transform the trivial dullness of their surroundings into
challenging, meaningful and personal music. It began quietly, via two self
released 7"s (1999), a debut album (2001's 'Blues Moderne: Danois
Explosifs') and roughly 250 shows across Europe and America.

But after the 2002 US tour things fell apart. All energy, desire, ambition
and creativity had disappeared as the band traversed American soil. It was
two and a half years before they found the impetus to start up again.
During the lost time they had reinvented what it meant to make a Lack
song; how it has to be played and why; what words have to be uttered and
where they wanted their music to take them.
