Biography

"Fusing rock riffs with pop sensibilities, In Darklight are an alternative rock band that will be equally at home on the stage at Download as they would gracing the airwaves of any commercial radio station across the country.

'Slaves' featured on the first Showcase Sett CD and was widely hailed as one of the standout tracks, Beach Boy harmonies played with Feeder guitars and a chorus that remained hooked in your head long after the CD finished.

Whilst technical know how plays a huge part in the In Darklight sound, this only enhances rather than clutters the sound and where some bands rely too heavily on studio trickery, In Darklight are arguably even more exciting live and what sounds amazing on CD gains an extra dimension when played on stage.

Having formed in 2004 and released several self financed EPs since 2006, In Darklight have have been developing their own unique brand of alternative rock and have recently completed work on their masterpiece, debut album 'Dying To Confess'.

Recorded in London and mastered at the World renowned Abbey Road Studios, it is an 11 track triumph and demonstrates not only their ability to write a storming rock anthem such as 'In Control' or lead single 'The Human Race' but also unearths their deeper collective musical strengths.

'Turn Into Somebody Else' takes the classic rock ballad and breathes new life into it, whilst the truly stunning 'In The Red' strips away the distorted guitars and pounding drums and is based around piano and voice and creates one of the best In Darklight moments to date.

We introduced you to them in 2009, 2010 is the year they will need no further introduction, World pay attention, the promise has been fulfilled!" - Jules Aplin
