Emotional anthem
Taken from Twin Atlantic’s forthcoming mini-album “Vivarium”, ‘Lightspeed’ is a melodic rock anthem in the vein of recent years Biffy Clyro; catchy and sing-along all the way through, not just during the chorus, with soaring guitars and an uplifting vocal delivery from Sam McTrusty (in his own strong Scottish accent which is great to hear) this is a really good tune. Fans will be pleased to hear that they haven’t deviated from the basic sound on their previous releases, but this single has a smoother, more polished feel without losing any of the urgency and emotional edge. With a recent Download performance behind them they’ll soon have a legion of new fans; they are impossible not to get excited about.
