As a gentle warm up for the up coming debut mini album ‘And The Heads Did Roll’ The Molotovs bring a trouble-free yet artistic tune in the form of new single ‘Come To Grief’.
The track has a moderate and quite placid opening melody; piano based and ballad styled, a man pouring his heart out was to be expected. However there is much more to develop as the track continues. The band is able to connect the piano; drumming and guitars with some brass elements that really kick things up a notch and create a vibrant and melodic tune. To make the vital connection is the vocals and words. The lyrics seem sincere and consist of many emotions and feelings, as if putting your thoughts across - possibly not happy thoughts. With ‘Come to Grief’ they have written a tune that is simple and puts feelings in an open view with no hidden meanings; what you hear is what you get.
This release also features a special acoustic, stripped down version of the ballad 'Strange Mind'.
