Jerky Pop

Jerky and jagged yet laid back pop, proving that syncopated rhythms are not always as inaccessible as you might think. Everything Everything mix up off kilter, jerky rhythms and electro beeps with guitars and drums; the tune is quite catchy with a poppy edge, the vocals are solid and the harmonies are nice, but somehow, this track never catches fire. You keep expecting it to break into the big anthemic chorus but it seems content to meander, all stop/start beats and gently melodic electro tweets. Having said that, the easy going tone of 'Schoolin' makes it very accessible and its not difficult to see why the track has had quite a bit of radio play from the likes of Zane Lowe.
