Sunshine are hot punk from the Czech Republic. With an electronic groove and an acute spatial awareness their sound resembles U2 in the middle of a speed-fuelled improv session. It's big and fast and rocking and grand sounding, whilst maintaining dance floor credibility and a cool/smooth electro feel. Laid back whilst gnawing at your heels.

'Victimisanothernameforlover' is a fine little tune, modernistic and certainly fit enough to survive in today's charts. The remixes on the CD are very good, including the acclaimed Fischerspooner mix, which restlessly speeds along and adds a lot to the original. 'What You've Got' is the B-side that finishes the single off and it's a rip-roaring ride of brash punk attitude meets indulgent little techno titbits and it's sumptuous.

Sunshine are radiant with their new release 'Victimisanothernameforlover', like Sparta before them they're continuing the atavistic boundary-pushing of At The Drive-In, whereas The Mars Volta have jumped light-aeons ahead of everyone else, but that's another story entirely…
