Addictive rock

Goodluck Jonathan's new single 'The Future's Got No Love For Us' is a corking rock tune with a delicate opening lead by piano, guitar and emotive vocals occasionally building through an off kilter (slightly) mathy section. The production is perfect for this track, open and full of echoes allowing the skin tingling vocal delivery to shine. The songs construction is kept tight and controlled, never completely opening out to sweep up and engulf you as most bands would be tempted to do; rather than frustrating though the lack of a huge anthemic release is compelling and adds to the emotional angst of the track, which is a soul searching plea for answers about the future, and just makes you want to put it on repeat, which you are guaranteed to do many, many times. A fantastically addictive tune with a dark core, if you haven't checked this lot out yet this is the perfect place to start.
