Arcane Roots-Resolve (Single)
Arcane Roots spent 2011 stunning audiences across the country, presenting themselves as some sort of strange but wonderful hybrid of At The Drive-In and Biffy Clyro peppered with bits of early Muse. Debut EP Left Fire not only showcased the band's mind-bending instrumental prowess and multi-structural songwriting but also that of frontman Andrew Groves' flooring voice with tracks like Rouen and You Are sounding massive at such an early stage.
2012 then has seen the trio holed up perfecting their as-yet-untitled debut album due for an April 2013 release and Resolve is the first taster we've been given and my word it's mighty tasty. Surfing in with a monumental riff, it's a whirlwind of a song, Groves' soaring hook of "if I save me, will you heal yourself" wrapping around your ears and feeling more powerful on every listen. It retains a lot of elements from the EP but takes them and turns them up tenfold. So in short, this is a very promising first glimpse at what the album's got in store and we can't wait to hear more!
