Something old, something new.

This takes me back to the heyday of the eighties, not in that Killers kind of way, but Clor take me back to the days of Roxy Music with the angularity of early Talking heads and Eno. This is synth pop that doesn't sound like anything else that's coming out right now and this alone makes me like first song 'Love and Pain' more.

Kids today will find it refreshingly new, parents and over 30's alike will reminisce to the electro pop tunes that this band display on this CD. The lyrics are of far-fetched tales of off kilter love, whilst remaining intelligent, something that a lot of the music of this sort in the eighties was missing vastly.

'Tough Love' sounds like background music to a video game, but it's still a really, really fun song, the type that you could play to a fan of any genre. Think Head Automatica was good? These guys play it like the masters of the game. They show that they've taken influences from electro, dance and rock music, without getting to the stage of being kitschy.

'You'll Change' sounds like a mixture of the Scissor Sisters, Modest Mouse and The Postal Service.Yes, a rather eclectic mix I know, but this band cannot be defined into anyone genre or pigeon-holed to sound like any one band. This tune is quirky, catchy and bound to hold your attention for at least the first few listens.

Altogether this CD is such a refreshing moment for music right now, different and incomparable to anything else out there. If you're open minded, like your music with a lot of synthesizers and dance beats, then this is the band for you.
