The Glitterati - Heartbreaker

I've just discovered that I was in the same club that the Glitterati were playing, on the same night, but in a different room, and I'm actually quite annoyed. I'm annoyed, because after listening to Heartbreaker, I have realised they are actually rather good. The Glitterati appear to be going places, and fast. Their self titled debut album was a success, and they have already worked with Mike Clink (who produced Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses).

Heartbreaker is a great rock song, it's upbeat and to be honest reminds me more of bands like the Wildhearts than Guns n Roses. Whatever they are compared to, this full on sleazy, dirty rock and I love it! It is nice to see a group featured in NME that isn't bland, boring rubbish, or the latest trendy haircut band with electric keyboards. I just feel bad for them that they had to support Avril Lavigne.
