Perfect electronica
White Rose movement have achieved a perfect level of electronica with 'Love Is A Number'. This moves through a typical genre beat that at times threatens to break into something with a more rock based feel.
They've a sound that'll be claimed by both the lovers of richly spiked pop music and those of the alternative originals. There's Depeche Mode and Franz Ferdinand in here, but the vocals say it all because even though they're fast paced with high pitched hooks, they have the sensual, breathless sexuality of Marc Almond; and singer/guitarist Finn Vine deserves a massive credit for being able to connect this with the listener. 'Love Is A Number' is not so much a record that you listen to, as groove to- it has a rhythm that'll move you around the room before you realise it.
