Dirty Disco Fighting Indie Rock In A Dark Alley

Question: what is a single for?

Either to A, make you want to buy an album; B, make you want to go and see the band live or preferably C, both.

This disco meets rock three track offering from Drinkme fits the above criteria for me without doubt. In fact I will add a forth possibility: D, make you want one of their tracks to come on in an indie club near you. This single from Drinkme will fit into that world with ease. A combination of dirty bass and beats with the riffs being provided by guitars in a similar, but far classier way to the likes of Electric 6.

There are two versions of the lead track, 'Manifesto', the rocky A side and the more electro remix. The latter has some fine guitar work throughout and could rock any of the UKs cooler dance floors. Sandwiched in between is 'Vote Whitey', a virtually vocal-less, speaker bursting disco track which would sit nicely on one of New Order's remix albums. Already pricking the ears of specialist presenters at Radio 1 and XFM, Drinkme should hopefully go from strength to strength.
