Only a Millionaire would have a Maid...

This double A single is the first taste of new stuff from Millionaire since their 2001 debut album that earned them critical acclaim, much love from Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and support slots with, amongst others, Muse. In the past they've been described as having the guts of Jon Spencer, the sensuality of Prince, the refined Irony of Beck and flair of Soulwax. For this new material you can add to this a hard rock sound reminiscent of Alice in Chains.

'Paradisiac', The bands new album has been produced by Josh Homme and these tasters suggest that Millionaire have retained the intense yet melodic feel to that of Queens of the Stone Age through Homme's handy work.

Of the two tracks, 'For A Maid', has the edge from the point of view of a single and promo for the new album as it is the more catchy offering, although be prepared to give both tracks a few listens to really begin to appreciate all that is going on under the surface, as aside from being heavy there is a definite air of swagger about them. Watch out for the killer guitar solo in 'We Don't Live There Anymore'.

Unlikely to convert those who aren't already having their boat floated by this kind of hard rock, that said the big name production should certainly move them up a run or two and the big name supporters can do them know harm.
