The Answer - Never Too Late
Last night I was watching the film Almost Famous on ITV. For those of you unfamiliar with the movie, it follows the story of a young journalist on tour with a rock band during the 1970's. (Bear with me on this I do have a point). There is one memorable scene where the editor of a rock magazine turns to the young journalist and tells him how rock 'n' roll is over.
Today I put The Answer's new single 'Never Too Late' in to my pc and heard exactly the style of music that the film Almost Famous is based around and it got me thinking; is it too late to still be producing these kinds of records, and can it ever be as popular as it was during that time of the early seventies?
The answer (see what I did there) I believe, is yes. 'Never Too Late' is a great track, all I can say is it just completely rocks. I despise the word 'retro' so I will not use it to describe this band but their sound is so reminiscent of all the great classics from Zeppelin to The Who. It's no wonder they recently won Best New Band at the Classic Rock Awards.
