It's the return of The Strokes. Yay!

After a muted critical response to 'Room On Fire', The Strokes promised to come back with a record that would outfox everyone and it's hard to imagine 'Juicebox' appearing on any of their previous records.

From the opening bass heavy riff, it's clear this is a band with something to prove and the track throttles by at breakneck pace, barely pausing for breath along the way.

Julian Casablanca sounds enthused with life again and as he bawls, "Why don't you come over here" you can imagine him enticing a large percentage of the population with that one line.

For all of the feeling that this track is a massive step on in style and delivery, there is still a lot of familiarity about a Strokes song, and this track still features all the elements you loved about them in the first place.

A beat that would have you dancing from first listen and guitars that believe they are the lead instrument, the swagger and self-belief that fuels the band is back in place and the signs are looking good for 2006 being the year when The Strokes claim back some of the shine they lost last time around.
