Defiant and Upbeat
One of the crowd pleasers from Starsailor's recent sell out tour, 'This Time' is a defiant anthem of hope with bright, twinkling piano chords and powerfully positive lyrics, "I won't let it kill me, this time". While the verses harbour some doubting minor guitar notes and a deliciously dark coda expels pain and angst; the verse is an outright celebration of jubilation. The tune is very much typical of Starsailor's other releases with a sound driven by pianos and a hint of anger or bitterness hidden, biding its time below the mostly upbeat atmosphere.
Rippling guitars, forceful piano and passionate vocals make this a tune that could definitely go down well with the radio-listening public and would be no embarrassment to any CD collection.
