Irish Rock

This is the first full release from a band tipped for big things over the next couple of years; their debut was a limited 7" which shifted all fifteen thousand copies in under a week. From there saw successful support slots with Hard-Fi and Foo Fighters and the ball was well and truly rolling for this band who originates from the Dublin underground.

The opening guitar rift to 'Long Time Coming' has a Razorlight feel to it, however as the drums and the full body of the track kick in it is clear that Humanzi are a heavier band than that. There is a raw garage rock sound going on here, the energy in this track suggests that they will be a must see live act, something which has been recognised already by the big names they have played with.

It is hard to second guess from one song what kind of band they will develop into, but from what I've heard they certainly have the ability to write uncompromising high-energy rock songs. The result is the potential to move up the alternative music food chain over the coming months.

Expect to find Humanzi popping up at festivals throughout the country this year, as their debut album is scheduled to arrive early in the summer.
