Song For Truckers

Summer rock n' roll is alive and well, safe in the hands of the Archie Bronson Outfit.

'Dead Funny' was produced in Nashville, and if it hadn't been then the first description to use for this track would be to say that it sounds like it could have been. It is an upbeat, feel good, rock song, bringing together a number of different music styles. 'Dead Funny' has aspects of blues, country and Americana in it, all of which collide under the umbrella of alternative rock.

There are many strengths to this song. Aside from the overall sound, the production of the track is very striking. It has a rawness about it, making it sound like it was recorded in one take. When listening to this you can imagine that you're watching Archie Bronson Outfit play it live in front of you, probably in a venue no bigger than the Camden Barfly.

The band have a 'Best New Act' nomination from Mojo Magazine, and we should certainly be hearing a lot more from them, something which I'm personally looking forward to on the strength of this single.

If the single is tricky to find then you can get 'Dead Funny' on the album 'Derdang Derdang'.
