This Isn't It, but it is pretty much it, as far as it goes...

Giant Drag comprise of Annie Hardy and Micah Calabrese. Hardy plays the guitar and sings, and is the wet dream of many an indie-boy in his late teens, Calabrese hits things, and together they make a very punky yet catchy sound that takes a pristine pop sensibility and merges it with a raw and uncouth edge.

The music is unkempt and patchy, alike to a lot of two-pieces in the White Stripes tradition, their being more of a gimmick than a serious songwriting pair, that gets aspiring musicians turned on and revved up about how you can make a band out of two people, man. But Giant Drag have a little more to them than that...

From this single to their blinding cover of Chris Isaak's 'Wicked Game', Giant Drag are a band who display more of a talent for songwriting than your average two-piece. So, get over it, and start listening to their music, because even though This Isn't It, it pretty much is.
