The second single from their impressive album, 'Karmacode', 'Enjoy The Silence' is a mesmeric and convincing cover of the classic Depeche Mode number. Initially fragile and relying on the depth of vocalist Cristina's voice, the forceful guitars soon arrive giving the song more insistence than the original. Haunting whispers lace the crystalline verses led by the passionate female singer, as if something dark has been stirred by the intense words and now works its menace to increase the tension and scale of the song.
The original tune is still very clear but Lacuna Coil give it a lucid makeover with their searing guitars and electric atmospherics that make the hairs on the back of your neck bristle with excitement.
