Kicking Indie
A friendly word of warning: Turn your stereo down before feeding it this CD because within 1 second of pressing play the monster from the title will blare its trickery out at you leaving you temporarily deafened. This is pretty much nothing to do with the rest of the track, which is a cool electro-rock stunner with a swinging verve and lazy vocals. A constant sense of speed runs through the track and a rocking electro solo half way through showcases mashed synths and kicking beats.
Headland's buzzing, busy sound ripples with variety and excitement and they certainly sound different to everything currently on the record shop shelves. Headland's monster is a subtle, groovy breed but it stops at nothing to get its sound out, and with this lunging melody Headland should definitely be impressing listeners.
