A Bright Pop Tune
'Cinnamon' may not have the spicy kick the name may suggest, but it's a soulful laidback number with a hint of a blues spark. The band are currently supporting Elton John and their creamy but euphoric sound is sure to impress his fans and get them clapping along to the bright chorus with backing vocals that have a certain gospel quality. It's a good time pop song about a girl called 'Cinnamon', which really sums up the adoring vibe.
B-side 'So Long' is a more catchy number with snatches of jazzy chords and a wistful ease, which underpins the whole track with an airy summer sea breeze. The Storys sound is charming, but perhaps not charismatic or unique enough to appeal to the majority of rock fans.
