The Norwegian Beezewax are set to release their latest single 'When You Stood Up' to a crowd of eagerly awaiting fans over on these shores, but for those that don't know, what are they all about? Well, they've that modern, edgy-side-of-punk-and-rock sound to them, with mew-like vocals, but in a normal octave. This tune is quite American college-rocky in its delivery, but there's more to it than Bullet For My Valentine, Fallout Boy and Panic At the Disco put together.
As the B-side 'Take Any Life' proves, there is a real depth and ear for tune in their music, it incorporates some nice minglings of sound, becoming reminiscent, albeit quite distantly, of Sigur Ros. They're a band to keep and ear out for and altogether they seem a fairly exciting addition to a side of music populated by stale and non-daring brown noses.
