The Boys Are Back
My Chemical Romance can seemingly do no wrong in their fans eyes. 'Welcome to the Black Parade' is the welcoming single to their brand new album "The Black Parade", due for release on the 23rd of October.
The Black Parade, seemingly an alter ego of the popular band in vocalist Gerard Way's eyes, also doubles up as a collective name for the ever growing fanbase. 'Welcome to the Black Parade' shows a clear maturity within My Chemical Romances music. There's a sadness about the piano intro and Way's voice seems more developed and has lost that child-like shout. The bulk of the song however is loud and proud and fans will be singing along straight away with the catchy rhythm of the song forcing them to dance. With a lead-in single this good, it's no wonder there is a great deal of interest in their new album!
With it's fairly long running time (5 minutes for the alum version!) it seems that My Chemical Romance have found their feet finally. Perhaps album number three for the idolised lads will prove to be their true breakthrough into mainstream stardom.
