Second single from Scottish electro-poppers.

Scottish hopefuls Matchsticks release the follow up to 'All Yr Secrets' in the form of 'Duvet', shortly to be followed by their debut album. Featuring the personality of flamboyant front man Graham Peel, Matchsticks are already on the way to notoriety, something 'Duvet' supports.

A short, sharp and fresh blast of electro-pop, 'Duvet' is energising in a way that few bands manage to be in less than three minutes. With an intro sounding like a series of frenzied handclaps and a irresistible sequence of baah's, coupled with the likeably accented vocals, Matchsticks strike me as a Bis for a new generation, yet this time they're armed with a wider variety of ways to make samples. Indeed it comes as no surprise then to discover that two ex-Bis members are helping the band craft their debut album.

A highly refreshing single, 'Duvet' deserves to become a dance floor filler at every grungy indie club in the country, and will doubtless be a bedroom dancing success too. Amidst so much moody electronica it's a welcome change to hear charming electro-pop like this, and it will have you doing anything except crawling back under the covers.
