Hell Is For Heroes - Hell Is For Heroes

Brit rockers Hell Is For Heroes are back with their third studio album ingeniously titled 'Hell Is For Heroes'.

'Hell Is For Heroes' picks up where their sophomore album 'Transmit Disrupt' left off, the sound on these two albums is incredible similar. A rhythmic instrumental introduction to opening track 'To Die For' shows how confident the band are with the sound they have created. The Hell Is For Heroes boys acknowledge that there are some fans out that prefer the hard edge they had on their debut album, and 'My Protector' sees the band go back to their old ways, driving guitars and powerful vocals boom out of the speakers on this track. 'Only The Ridiculous Will Survive' again sees the bands going back to their roots, it's easily the heaviest track on here, but to give it an original edge they've mixed in the electronic style heard on 'Transmit Disrupt'. 'Only The Ridiculous Will Survive' makes for an interesting listen, it's dark yet pleasant but I think it's something that will be a bit hit and miss with fans.

'Once And For All' as an epic track that brings the album to a close, the verses are slow with choir-like vocals but the chorus is like an explosion of sound. The chorus is loud and fast paced in terms of the music and the vocals. It's the perfect closing track for the album, you can hear the band are confident and proud of the music they produce.

Fans of 'The Neon Handshake' and the hardcore sound Hell Is For Heroes had at the beginning of their career probably wont be too keen on 'Hell Is For Heroes' but personally, I think the band have a good mix of styles on this album and it's a very strong release.
