After wowing the crowds on Download's main stage, Hinder are reminding us of their presence with their new single 'Lips Of An Angel'.
Forming four years ago in Oklahoma Hinder have gone on a mission to bring back sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll as a way of life, and with the classic sound 'Lips Of An Angel' has they certainly seem to be on the right track. Austin Winkler's raspy but bluesy voice is a pleasure to listen to on this pop rock ballad which is guaranteed to throw Hinder into the limelight. After a couple of listens you'll be singing along with the chorus and will probably get annoyed when it's still stuck in your head hours later. Hinder competent musicians who know how to write and construct a good tune, their vocal work has an instantly likeable and familiar tone to it.
'Lips Of An Angel' isn't exactly original but it's nice to know that Hinder are bringing classic hard rock to young ears and keeping that style of music alive. Hinder have already gained a certain level of success but if they added a tad of originality to their music then they could be superstars. But for now 'Lips Of An Angel' is well worth a listen.
