The Electric City - Sleeping With The Enemy

'Sleeping With The Enemy' is the debut city from the practically unknown band The Electric City, who are signed to an unknown label, but from the sound of the tracks on here these guys wont remain unknown for long.

As soon as the CD starts playing I practically fall in love with these guys, their sound isn't over manufactured and over produced, it just sounds like they picked up their instruments and started to jam. Another fab thing about The Electric City is that frontman Andy has a powerful voice which he actually uses sing rather than to scream into a microphone.

As The Electric City's career progresses they could easily become the kings of the dance-rock genre, with tracks like 'Sleeping With The Enemy' and B-side 'Electric City' there's no denying that these guys know how to write songs that will get a crowd moving. The final track on this single release is 'Devil In My Head' which sees the band take a more direct all-American rock route, but it's still incredibly likeably and shows that these guys are good enough to have major success on both sides of the Atlantic.

'Sleeping With The Enemy' is the perfect example of what a debut should be, but with the single pretty much become obsolete, I'm worried that The Electric City will not get the exposure they deserve.
