Hold Me, Thrill Me

Well it is ten years since the Popmart Tour and at last U2 have released the DVD recording of the tour. This show was recorded in Mexico City in December 1997. If you remember this was the tour where the set was weird in the extreme. Yes that big yellow arch, the lemon and that cocktail stick with massive olive upon it. Where the band made their enterance through the crowd as if it were a boxing match.

All the colour and sound is still there and the favourites come one after another, plus a supporting cast of great songs from Pop. The album and tour seemed like one overgrown experiment, but they were so much fun, as if the band were laughing at themselves and society as it had become by then.

All the favourites are there like 'Pride', 'Where The Streets Have No Name', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'I Will Follow' and many more. But were abley supported by 'Lemon', 'Discotheque', 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me' and so many more. All superbly played then and digitally remastered now. This is going to be a must for any U2 fan. Hold Me, Thrill Me........Even Better Than The Real Thing the music just keeps coming.
