The Hoosiers – Goodbye Mr. A

If you are looking for an upbeat and enjoyable listen, with a unique element that you can't quite put your finger on, then give the new Hoosiers single a listen. After the success of 'Worried about Ray' they return with yet another smash hit. 'Goodbye Mr. A' is a hard-hitting, edgy poptastic tune full of quirks and altered sounds.

With its cartoon style opening, like a TV programme from the 50's, and with keys and rugged notes, each is very effective in making this number catchy. The brass instruments, along with guitars give it more jittery side towards the end. The vocals are very accurate in their pronunciation of the lyrics, which makes following them easier on the listener. They are not typical scream as loud as you can to get your message across, which makes me sign with relief.

If this track and its predecessor are anything to go by, the album will be heading for the top of the charts upon its release.
