Milburn - What will you do (when the money goes?)

Sheffield four-piece Milburn return to the music scene to embark on promoting their new material. First up for judgment is their new single 'What will you do (when the money goes?)'

The aim of the lyrics here are to explore statements of intent. With the vocals of Joe Carnall, and brother Louis backing him up, music defiantly runs in the genes of this family. Whether it's having the no-how of when to slow down, speed up and change tempo and pitch, the lads have it down. The upbeat guitars slow to a curious manor for the first verse, which builds up to the second. The repetitive chorus of the title is catchy, while the mini acoustic guitar solos offer some great effects. Also noteworthy is the angle of the chorus, which is reminiscent of the film 'Lost Boys' with its tings, tangs and unexplained bangs.

Judge rules: - If this is anything to go by, can't wait for the album.
