Shibby – Blurring the Edges

Since touring with Elliot Minor earlier this year, Shibby moved on to record this amazing EP 'Blurring the edges', a great introduction to anyone that has never listened to Shibby music before.

The most amazing thing about this record is the imagery that will flicker through your mind while listening to the anthems they have produced. Visualising Wembley Stadium, a crowd roared up and ready to go, the lights flickering and flashing, glitter falling from above the audience, the stage shaking on its foundations, the stomping mass of people in the room making the floor shudder and the volume level rising to a peak. This imagery accompanied by amazing tracks is enough to get even the quietest of individuals hyped up.

The EP has the amazing vocal talent of Sean, which is at times edgy; you'll notice this on 'Falling'. The combined screams on 'Lost without words' pull the track to another level of crazy. The vocals are distinctively noticeable and appreciated on 'Everything's changing'. The climatic build up to 'Everlast' is amazing and has that "end of a set" feel to it. Likewise, 'Falling' gradually builds to a point where all hell kicks off.

The chorus to each and every track is catchy, "falling/into your arms" on 'Falling' is superb and the captivating "I'm ok" chorus ending to 'Everything's changing' has a WOW factor to it. From guitars to make your ears scream in 'Everlast' to guitar riffs to knock your socks off on 'Lost without words'; this record has it all.

If you have never heard Shibby, but enjoy rock with a punk component, then it is highly recommended you give this iTunes release a listen, and get ready to rock as Shibby are coming to a city near you very soon.
